SarC-ED is an evidence-based program for the early detection and management of age-related muscle loss. The program offers education and resources for both clinicians and the public to promote healthy ageing and to prevent the risk of falls, fractures and chronic diseases.

About the SarC-ED team

We are a multidisciplinary group of healthcare professionals, researchers and academics working across musculoskeletal health, healthy ageing and lifestyle medicine.

We translate contemporary evidence in sarcopenia and healthy ageing into practical education, clinical resources and models of care that can be applied in everyday practice

Lifestyle Medicine

Lifestyle Medicine is a global and rapidly growing interprofessional approach to screening for and managing the lifestyle determinants of health. We apply lifestyle medicine and behaviour change principles to daily clinical practice as an integral part of sarcopenia management.

Our SarC-ED team are certified in lifestyle medicine and fellows of the Australasian Society of Lifestyle Medicine.
